Conference USA, Mountain West, WAC
Trying to piece something together, the three leagues form a new 16-team conference that could put together a nice, midrange TV package.

Yes, this one was a little farther into left field than most.
Not even going to read it.
Flopped 4 of them around to make the E/W more regional.... but it's still just a decent league; better than the Belch still. From Memphis to Hawaii. Wow... now THAT's a spread out league, but at least we'd have some travel partners.
On another thread, I stated that 16 teams from CUSA, WAC, and MWC should try to get a 16 team conference together. It would make sense. Just needs to be more regional. Now, if the CUSA West goes B12, I want to be in THAT group, though!
Although I think this guy is nuts, this one at least beats the current WAC or a mix with the belch teams. I would love being in a conference with the ones highlighted. And yes I included Hawaii and the great USAFA in Colorado (went there for a year) for recruiting purposes etc.. But I am still hoping for a BIG 12 leftover plus western CUSA conference for us.

Not too bad - still hoping for a B12 mix up with us in. Next, I hope for an expanded 16 team CUSA with aspirations of AQ (no belters included and no new D1a schools), next I hope for CUSA as it stands.
I didn't put MWC in the hope list, because I think that is not on our list of alignments right now, although would love to steal a few of them for our 16 teams CUSA.
If you asked me Moscow, Idaho and Wyoming aren't in an "eastern" division in any conference they join..this is ridiculous
IMHO and assuming the Big 12 loses 6-8 members to the PAC 10 and Big 10, I see the Big 12 going after TCU, Utah, BYU, Boise, Houston, possibly Fresno and/or New Mexico. Baylor/Colorado will be the odd man out in the PAC 10 acquisition depending on who Texas legislators force the Longhorns to take with them.
So there could be a couple of open spots left in the Big 12 and some fierce competition for those spots among non-AQ schools - SMU, UTEP, Rice, Tulsa, Air Force, Colorado State and hopefully Tech.
If the Big 12 loses 7-8 members, any chance that they merge with with the MWC under the Big 12/14/16 banner in order to retain AQ status? I could see them being granted an exemption in order to keep them as an AQ. In that case the MWC simply disappears. I don't really think the members of the MWC care what they are called as long as it is AQ.
The Pac 16 will not invite Baylor. If they are forced to go, it will sabotage the whole deal.
