Boise is gone to the MWC, per Joe Schad on ESPN. Confirms what I had heard today as well.
It also could be because TCU has expressed interest in joining the Big 12 leftovers.

BSU accepts invite to Mountain West Conference
BSU President Bob Kustra says this shows Boise State University has demonstrated academic and athletic success.
I'm starting to get a bad feeling about all of this....
I'm wondering...the 6 teams for 5 years thing would mean that the Big XII left-overs could grab 6 MWC schools (and one from somewhere else) and keep their BBall autobid. There's still a year or so left on the BCS status's before things are reevaluated right?
What if the Big XII left overs cherry picked the top MWC teams and Boise, would they retain their AQ status? I would imagine it's easier to keep your status than it is to obtain it.

That's a pretty salty basketball conference and, if the MWC was headed for an autobid, it would seem reasonable that this conference could keep the Big XII's auto-bid.

Come back Broncos...I'll bite your legs off!
Seriously, we get no Ruston date with 'em in 2011. That sucks!
Chip Brown from OrangeBloods.com (Texas Rivals), who has been on top of all of this, just said Texas IS going to the Pac 10 and will not be staying in the Big XII.

The Big XII should extend invitations to Arizona and Arizona St now. Maybe Arkansas that would really get this puzzle more blurry
