I hear you but would the MWC have any power over anyone if all it has is San Diego st Wyoming airforce and Colorado st. These arent exactly heavy pulls for anyone to leave the WAC. If mwc gets raided heavily by the big12 then Benson has to step it up a notch and absorb the cellar dweller Mwc teams

The MWC has no interest in Fresno or Nevada.

The scenario Beaux presented presumes they lose all but four schools. If they are down to four schools, who would they add?

Big12 will cease to exist if it loses all those teams and only retains Kansas, K-state, Iowa State, Baylor...and any other ragtag holdout.

Those teams will have to look for a new conference. None of those are strong enough to anchor the Big12 by themselves and bring in other teams around them.

The only way the Big12 stays active at all, is if it can keep 1 or 2 of the following teams: Texas, OU, A&M, Nebraska. Okie light can't be an anchor. Texas Tech can't be an anchor....it's got to be one of those 4 teams.

It comes down to which league would be stronger. They could easily end up in the MWC. I believed that in April, as well. They end up in an expanded Big 12 (which is a longer shot) if the Big 12 gets a waiver from the NCAA, gets an exemption from the BCS (at least for a certain number of years), and gets to pocket the exit fees from the 8 departing schools. We'll know in a few weeks.
