Calgary 'Close' to Signing Zac?

The Calgary Herald is reporting this morning (6-8-10) that the Calgary Stampede is believed to be "close to signing" Zac Champion as a backup quarterback after releasing Dennis Brown, a rookie QB on Monday.

Champion was released last month after two seasons for the B.C. Lions.

You can't find a better looking QB warming up on the sidelines than Zac! I enjoyed watching him do that.

An article at http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Football/C...-14309646.html says that Zac Champion has been signed by the "Champs" and that he "will push" two other QBs for back-up behind Henry Burris.

GM-head coach John Hufnagel said that Zac will have a week and a half "to show what he can do."

Hope Zac gets more of a chance than he ever had at BC.
