Those results, BTW, are pretty spectacular. Reread the article and then decide that we should announce our plans. Hell..if we wanted an article like that let's just make-up a number,

"La TECh Unveils Plans For 83 Bazillion Dollar Facility." "Clearly it's just a vision..." ...Dipstick #1 is quoted as saying, "La TECH is a diamond in the rough...this 98 gazillion dollar upgrade is way cool...."
First thing I thought when i saw those renderings. As swank as they are, and they are just that, I'm not holding my breath on this to happen. Maybe someday, but clearly a case of pandering to the Big 12.

The numbers being thrown around in Houston are similar to the numbers we throw around in reference to HD's 40 times:icon_wink:.

Maybe we are using it in conference realignment talks behind closed doors, though.

There is absolutely no doubt about that. The only difference being that we have plans that show that we have X dollars now, how the next X dollars will be obtained, and that we plan on breaking ground on X date. We are approved and ready to roll and are probably 3-4 years ahead of U of H on a timetable. The demographics for Shreveport/Bossier and North La are way better in the next 10 to 15 years for us that them as well.

    agree.
If the Big12 were to survive (which it's not)....they'd need to reach outside the State of Texas. Frankly, they already own the Texas TV market (at the moment). Nothing to be gained there.
They would need to lure in another market, like UTAH or maybe pull in Louisville.

They could pull in Louisiana, Tenn., and Mississippi easily.

    Memphis
    Southern Miss

Those are 3 name schools that would jump.
