Why would you move two existing teams out of west to east for TAMU & UT, unless....
    1. you plan on adding two more teams to west besides TAMU & UT,
    2. you plan on booting out two existing east teams of the conference all together
and I doubt #2 is the case.

Wouldn't it make more sense (not that Texas is going to SEC anyway, but just what if) to add TAMU & UT to existing west, not move any existing teams and add two from Florida State, Clemson, West Virginia, Virginia Tech to the east as is?

You certainly would not have the west with 6 teams and the east with 8.

Or you're blowing smoke up their butts and plan on adding two East teams. A combination of Florida State or Miami or Clemson or Georgia Tech or someone else.

Listening to Mike & Mike interview Barry Switzer. He's talking about Texas & OU in the PAC10, the death of traditions, big money driving change and USC's sanctions. Nothing about the SEC.

Re: SEC rolls out red carpet for UT and A&M

Well, since none of us think Texas is heading to the SEC, it is probably a moot matter on them. A&M might just take the bait, though. Let's say that A&M lets Baylor ride THEIR coat tails............ That would satisfy some politicians in Texas. OU going as well sweetens the pot. Texas to PAC 10..........

That probably does away with one of the two biggest rivals for Texas, though. The OU and A&M games are their biggest. I can't see them having both on their OOC schedule - too tough.

So, OU, Texas Tech, and Texas to the PAC.......... A&M and Baylor to the SEC. Texas politicians are happy. Texas and OU in the same conference. A&M traditional OOC rival remains on schedule each year.

That would leave NO Texas schools in the B12, though. I will have to revise my Texas invitee list:

    New B12:
    Houston
    TCU
    UTEP
    Louisiana Tech
    Kansas
    KState
    OSU
    Southern Miss
and a couple of far flung MWC teams.

SMU gets left out (due to TCU). Rice possibly in due to academics.

At this point, ANYTHING seems possible...including flying monkeys and pigs with wings!

I'm punching out for a while.

I heard there are flying pigtails around Waco........

I think I will check out for a while too. Better get some work done today. I will check in from time to time to find any breaking news, though. I get more breaking news here than anywhere else.

I would be wise to do so as well. My ADD is on one shoulder telling me I have to stay up on the conference fiasco and my paycheck is on the other telling me to prepare a 30(b)(6) notice.

On second thought, the intolerant, bigoted, socialist/commie, anti-God part probably hacks him off don't you think. :icon_wink:

I still hold out hope that they come to their senses.

TCU and SMU have long standing beef. They won't ever be in the same conference in all honesty.

You know how those Christians can bicker.

Exactly. TCU believes that they have accomplished separation now - same as us and the ulaulm twins. The only way TCU and SMU are in the same conference is if TCU feels that SMU has a chance for AQ and they don't. That would do it.
