La Tech AD Releases Statement

KTBS just reported that BVDV just released the following statement:

"There is a great deal of speculation regarding conference realignment which is being driven by a few institutions and an even fewer number of conferences. While this is certainly an interesting and ever-changing time in the collegiate landscape, we are a proud member of the WAC, and have been since we joined the league in 2001."

Not exactly what I wanted to hear. Sounds like he is fully expecting us two remain in the WAC.

I agree. This is the worse thing he could have said. This is JO all over again. With this kind of statement and small time thinking, we are doomed.

Isn't that about what some of the Big 12 schools released before the $hit hit the fan?

Don't really see what the big deal is. What else could he really say at this time?

I know the WAC just lost Boise State, so I assume he is trying to be "PC". On the other hand, he has to know this is not want the fan base wants to hear. This is worse than not releasing a statement. There is a group that doesn't believe we are moving forward with this AD or being prominent in getting into a new conference, and statements like this just add fuel to the fire. I am not saying torch the man, but this statement is very ridiculous in my opinion.
