From a Tech standpoint, the WAC has one more positive in its corner if it only loses Boise. And that's the TV deal that begins this year.
I'm not convinced ESPN is going to be so quick to want to renogotiate the deal, even with Boise gone. If we've learned anything over the past few months, it's the fact college sports, college football in particular, has long been undervalued. It's also common knowledge one more provider, Comcast, wants to get into the game of providing live college sports (other than Notre Dame).
I would not stay in the WAC if CUSA came calling, but I'm not convinced the WAC can't move on without Boise and still be much more stable than its ever been from a financial standpoint.
Probably never got past the AAA's.
