Information is false.
Chip Brown is nothing more than a sock puppet for the Longhorn program. He says what they want him to say.
Truth is, the Ags have NOT turned down the PAC10 offer (confirmed by well placed sources).
The Longhorns have been leaking stuff through Chip Brown all week to try and pressure A&M (the only pawn they don't control). This is no different. They want to force A&M to reveal their cards.
They've tried the 72 hour deadline....didn't work. A&M called their bluff.
Tried the "we wont play you anymore" routine....didn't work.
Tried the "blame A&M for the split of the South teams" in the media.....won't work.
The truth is that A&M was very close to sealing the deal with the PAC10 before the Longhorns started trying to pressure them.....but when they played the "we won't schedule you in any sports anymore" card....it gave ammunition to the few Regents/Power-brokers that were fighting for the SEC. Now the gate has swung to the SEC side, because A&M will not be pushed around by the mighty longhorns.
Wherever they go, it will be on their own decision makers.
I say, good for them. Its about time somebody stood up to those A-holes in Austin.
