Cool -- that has potential to be a great story!
Shoot some games at the TAC? Show some Tech colors?
Congrats to Millsap. I just hope that he can continue to be a good example as there are too many "thugs" in the pro setting.
Man I hope this plays out, it would probably be my favorite movie of all time!
Who's playing LouisianaSelect?
Time is your friend. Impulse is your enemy. -John Bogle
Talk about being good publicity for Tech if this happens.
This would be huge. Film crew and celebs in Ruston. That would bring in revenue and public interest. SWEET!!
It just a shame that Dennis Hopper won't be available to play Richard.
This reminds me........I met former LA Tech player David Jordan yesterday at the Market Street coffee shop here in McKinney, TX. He played with Malone and company during the glory years. He's a very nice guy who still has a heart for Tech. He said he had really lost contact with Tech until Dooley organized the former athlete gathering last year and invited everybody back. He said that meeting was great and he really enjoyed it. He was very touched by the recognition he and others received, and said it was really a first class event.
Today Jordan is a HUGE man. Appeared to be about 6'-4 or 6'-5, easily over 300 lbs. (Would make a great defensive tackle!) Says he sold his insurance agency a couple of years ago and is now pursuing a life in ministry. He now works at the local "Crosspoint" Baptist (?) church part time. Said he was going to be taking classes at Dallas Baptist University very soon and will eventually pursue ministry full time.
In a VERY strange twist of fate, I met Jordan's college aged son at one of the local movie theaters in Allen later the same night. Jordan's son --a Texas A&M student-- was working behind the counter and recognized my son's "LA Tech" cap (which is the same way I recognized the older Jordan earlier the same day). Jordan's son --a very nice kid-- quickly introduced himself, and said that his dad had played at LA Tech "a long time ago". Obviously I was a little shocked, since I had just met his dad for the first time approximately 9 hours earlier about 5 miles away. When I told him this, I don't think he believed me.
Sometimes life is just a little weird.

That is uncanny, HD.
I believe David Jordan also ran a martial arts club sport (judo, karate- I can't recall) while at Tech. He was listed at 6'-8" when he and Malone played.
