Yes, any limbs low enough to hit umbrellas as people use the sidewalks will be trimmed. I know some minor trimming is needed on the oaks close to Howard.

I would just ask that you don't over-do it on the live oaks. A few smaller limbs and shoots would be fine, but I sure hope you don't remove any of the large main branches. Live oaks are supposed to have low-hanging branches, not look like a stalk of broccoli. A few years back some mis-guided state senator here had all the centuries-old live oaks at the state capitol building severely trimmed, removing all the lower branches, before he checked with anyone else. Now they look TERRIBLE and a lot of people were very angry about it.

Besides that small quibble though, THANK YOU for making the time and effort to improve our campus. I believe the landscaping and grounds is one of the most important aspects to any campus and has a huge influence on the impression our campus makes.

We had a small group of volunteers last Satuday, but accomplished a lot. Special thanks to Justin for organizing this and for his work on Thursday and Friday, as well. The campus looks much better!
