Weird they didn't print the entire article from:

Why the first mention of Terry Bradshaw is in the 10th paragraph is beyond me.
Not your typical AP-style news pyramid story.....and Terry Bradshaw coming to the Happening is a NEWS story, not a PR story.
If it came out of the media relations or old news bureau, I'd want to think TB would be even included in the header.

Is this Terry's first Happening?
Bradshaw in Monroe is huge. The Monroe media should be all over this.
The story is verbatim the Tech campus PR news release.

News editors cut from the bottom of news releases, regardless of what they say.
If the writer of the news release saw no value in the obvious "headliner" then why should the news editor?

Point taken.
You gotta understand now about the layout of Gannett pages. It's all being done in Monroe at the NS complex. All of Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria, Opelousas and Lafayette's papers pages are being done remotely in Monroe. It's written locally, but the pages are laid out and designed mainly in Monroe. . . . that's why you see so much news from regions outside of NE La. being printed in the NS. It's there and it's available. . . . . that's why those writing news release need to flex their news muscle first and foremost . . . or their "news" will end up being edited out by a clueless news editor from out of the area.

They really are putting out a lot of "good news" on Tech lately. We all know that it definitely goes in cycles with TNS. Is it that TECH is doing a better job with the press releases, or have we been "workin' the room" more at TNS? Regardless, it's a good thing...I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
Didja notice in TNS that West Ouachita is installing turf as we surf the internet today?
