Tech Alum VP of Company Relocating to La.

Dirk J. Wild has joined the Company as Senior Vice President of Finance, and will assume the role of chief financial officer in mid-August. Mr. Wild previously served in numerous capacities, including Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer for The Shaw Group Inc., a leading global provider of technology, engineering, procurement, and facilities management services for government and private sector clients with approximately 27,000 global employees and over $7 billion in annual revenues. Mr. Wild holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University and a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas, Austin. Mr. Wild will lead the transition of Globalstar's accounting, finance and other administrative functions to Louisiana.

Good grief are there any quality schools in Louisiana other than Tech? I always thought Louisiana did a helluva job with higher education. It is the K-12 that needs work. You guys, however, shoot down every Louisiana college........geez.

The CEO is just throwing some love to the local schools near Covington, he will learn the greatness of LaTech.

Where do you get this stuff? Have you ever lived outside of Louisiana? Louisiana higher ed is not that good. Far too many 4 year schools, and not enough to go around once the southern flagship gets its serving.

Nope, none other than Louisiana Polytechnic Institute. Yep, we do a great job in higher education with 14 4-year public institutions of higher learning. NOW we're funding these schools based on "results". What a novel damned concept!!!
