Bridge is alot more important than some think. Its the front door to the university. Its the difference between a new visitor/recruit/student thinking 'man, this place is a dump' and 'man, this place looks great'.

I would rather see the bridge painted than bricked over.

With the vibrations caused from a train passing.....those bricks and mortar would not see the end of the season.

I agree. I'm not saying don't do it. I thought somebody asked why it hadn't been done yet and was answering that question. However, in light of the limited budget, I don't see Dr. Reneau approving something that somebody else should pay to have done which is why, I venture to guess, it hasn't been done yet. I think he should see if he could strong arm them into action with his connections, though. Although, I don't know if you want to use some of your chips on this project.

I only did bricks because I had the pattern copied already and I can't paint. I'd like to see what QNG could do with the original pic.

I like the brick too! Just replace the iron railings on top with brick as well.

Not sure about the vibrations from passing trains, but I am positive that we could come up with some sort of solution. Are we not engineers?

Surely DR and the RR have discussed this. Would hate to see DR get hauled away by Ruston's finest for vandalism...

A good painter(artist type ) could paint a nice murial that looks like brick which would solve the vibration issue. 80% of people would think that it is really brick.
