4 of us killed a limit this morning in Jones. All teal.
Glad you caught the tresspassers (or at least the vehicle).

We limited Sat Am in Bradley Ark. All greenwing teal. Most everybody on the place limited the same way and if you didn't limit you probably ran out of shells:icon_wink:. Had to go "commando" Sunday Am but still scratched-down 9 teal and one shoveler. my dad's blind in Monroe, Richland Plantation, shot four limits of greenwings and a shovel or two on Sat then 6 limits of teal and a few shovels on Sun.

Hunted Bradley Tday Am and shot zero. Lots of big ducks but they were working our neighbors place where nobody was hunting. Shot 5 yesterday ...2 of our blinds did good and 2 of ours didn't. Tons of geese so Sunday Am I'll be out there with my shells and rags trying to knock a few down.

We killed 9 this am in Jones. Killed 23 Wed., 17 Thurs., and 22 yesterday. Seems like most of the teal left overnight.
Limited this Am in Ark. 13 Teal/ 5 Shovels/1Canvasback/1 Ringneck/1 Widgeon/2 Greys/ 1 Pintail/ 1 Merganser/and 4 Snipe. Talk about a mixed bag! The pics are from two days worth of shooting:icon_wink:. The wind wasn't enough to warrant laying out for the geese or we really would have a mixed bag!

I like how you boys think over here on this thread. Instead of jumping off buildings and other dumesday chatter about a 5-6 team ugly road victory you boys retreat to the deer stand, duck blind to truely put things into proper perspective. Keep it up and enjoy the times!
That ole ugly Charlie sure scored a BEAUTIFUL chocolate lab! I'm gonna go hit the snipe tomorrow with my light 20 gauge and #8's. Our first split is over but snipe is still open and we have a ton of them. It's some awesome fun walking them up with a lab at heel. As our quail are gone this is as close to upland hunting as we get in La and Ark.
They taste way better better than doves when breasted-out and bacon wrapped/grilled. I shoot a few "in-between" flights of ducks or while we're chasing a cripple/moving decoys, ect.. I used to shoot the devil out of them and doves after school in some fields behind my house when I was a kid. BTW: Those fields are now the car lots on Bert Kouns in Shreveport. I thought nothing of walking through Spring Lake , my neighborhood, with my 410 single and later a light 20 over my shoulder and a game vest. The older guys in the neighborhood would stop me and ask how I did on the way home. I'd often reply with something like " 2 squirrells, 3 rabbits, 6 snipe, and 11 doves." Back in those days all I did was dream about the "real duck and goose hunting". I just didn't know how good I had it! These days the cops would be all over somebody, and their parents, for letting a 12 year old saunter on down to the fields with a shotgun over his shoulder-"UNSUPERVISED". We called it hunting and being responsible with firearms.
