Nothing like FIGHTING for a class card
Let me guess, you had to walk to school in the snow every morning, barefoot, uphill both ways too?

Ya'll have NO idea what registering for a class REALLY is...

I actually miss that. I remember seeing the lines reach all the way to the student center.

I treated that card like it was a heart transplant.

I haven't thought about those cards and registration in a long time. Now I will have nightmares about it. If you had to register toward the end, the permutations on what classes you could take were large. One quarter I ended up taking a physics class and and engineering class concurrent with the math prerequisite. I never did that again. Learning the math while doing the engineering and the physics is NOT recommended.

I wish I could go without an 8 am class. Doing so pushes back my graduation an extra quarter. I decided to compromise and decide I'm not taking another class on MWF other than my 8 am.

Might as well get used to it . . . Not a lot of jobs out there that let you roll in around 10 a.m.! If I remember correctly, when I was at Tech [yes, back in the dark ages] we didn't have 8:00 classes -- they started at 7:30 a.m. I would have loved an extra 30 minutes of sleep!

Atleast for my career path there isn't really a job that lasts from 8 am to 7 pm (which will be my typical MWF next quarter). I know I've really got nothing to complain about. Just prefer to avoid that.

I have to admit that this was my initial thought. Then I remembered... It was a pain back when I was in school. Seems like it would come online at midnight and then crash before you could get the classes that you wanted.

    Re: Question about BOSS

My mom and uncle went to school at Tech when they had those punch cards, so I have heard the horror stories. But BOSS can be just as bad sometimes >_< . My mom never wants to belive me that I can't tell her my some random bit of information right then and there cause BOSS is down at the most inconvenient times.
