I bet it's the best they can do on matching with the existing bricks. It doesn't look bad. I didn't even noticed it until you pointed it out.

Yeah, the bricks are not exact, but I bet that shows up in pictures more than in person - plus a couple of years and it will be even closer.
I'm pretty sure the bricks still needed to be washed off. That may help a bit.
Question: Did they re-do the dirt for the soccer field, or did they just plant new grass?

The new brick looks much better than that orange brick. The brick columns match the brick from the jumbotron and all the other buildings that are being constructed on campus. Are they painting the brick at the base of the light poles, or did they just replace a majority of it? They will probably do the same thing for the bathrooms to make the brick match.
I don't know, but the new soccer coach has really impressed me. I wonder if he went out and got the Best Buy sponsorship on his own similar to Coach Sim with his baseball field? They aren't one of Tech's traditional sponsors. I think this was all Coach Sherry's vision. From what I understand, he demanded his own complex, and now Tech is hosting the WAC soccer championship this fall.
If I remember correctly they re-did the surface for the soccer fields (leveling, etc ...) & then came in & planted new grass. It looks really nice in person & they have signs up asking people to stay off of it.
