Barney Frank is the epitome of being political. Wet your finger to see which way the popular winds are blowing.
He knows his demo buds are in deep chit this Fall and in 2012, so he is switching to being more "centrist." He's used to being a switch hitter anyway. (can be a top or a bottom, he's flexible)
And, typical politician, esp. a liberal one, they hold no true core beliefs. It's all about staying in power.
Tyranny will do anything to stay in power!
