Dooley's team had 48 points scored on against them last night and were tied 13-13 at half. At least his old team ended up with 16 points vs a complete shutout TN experienced in the second half.

Not taking up for Dooley, but Oregon would have done that to Texas A&M too, and they would have put up 70 on our Dawgs...easy. They are very good and probably can beat just about any SEC team, except maybe 'Bama.

Not to defend Dooley, but ESPN employs some serious goobers. Herm Edwards and some other "I-never-played-sports-in-my-life" announcer were calling the LSPOO game on Saturday (watched the rerun at 3:00 AM while I couldn't sleep). They were discussing VA Tech's loss, and both of them mentioned that it nullified their win versus Boise. I thought maybe I heard them wrong, but then they again alluded to VA Tech beating Boise.

Which is still a BS stat to begin with. How many of those years were we 1AA or independent with virtually no chance of going to a bowl even if we won 9 games (which actually happened).

multiple 8-9 win seasons with no bowl under Crowton I think. Wins over Bama, and still no bowls.
