It was 25.5 in 2009. LSU reported their 2.76% increase in enrollment as 3%.

It said first time freshman enrollment was up 6.4%. I think that's a little more than 200 more undergrads. We had a little more than 300 more graduate students. 515 more students all together.

We have been flirting with the bottom borderline number of PhD grads to keep our Carnegie Doctoral/Research University status as a National Research University per USN&WR. You need at least 30/year.

College of Engineering and Science Fall 2010 enrollment is up and close to setting a record!

New numbers indicate that total engineering and science enrollment is up by 7% with 1712 undergrads enrolled vs 1641 last fall. Graduate nos are up too: 441 vs 371 last year. Reasons for this are many and varied but certainly include enhanced partnerships with area high schools through our Tech Step programs, Cyber Camp, and NASA Threads (to name a few) as well as increased visibility and outreach.

Yeah. We need to increase our Research expendatures as well. A big part of our problem is being dictated what graduate programs we can offer by lsu.

I'm sitting in CAM 610 as I type this and of the 47 CAM students, seems like about 25 (including myself) plan on graduating this year, so that PhD number should shoot up some.
