Utah State is reaping the benefits of WAC membership. Too bad the Three Stooges jumped ship and wrecked the WAC, just as the conference was maturing into a solid league.
USU sucked because of their Belch affiliation and it takes time to get that kind of stench off. Now, after some years in the WAC they are becoming decent (good) in football, because recruits want to "Play Up!"
Idaho, too.
Is there any school that doesn't have better facilities than us? Little wonder we don't win.

If you're talking about USU's stadium, you're misinformed.
No elevators to pressbox . . . it's literally a box. No sky boxes. Just some concrete in a U-shape.
Nice endzone building, I guess, but no indoor practice area.
PS-Oh, yeah, wonderful view of the mountains behind east stands.
Idaho? Pitiful. If they didn't have band day last year (a load of bands present!), they would not have filled up the 18K capacity.
New Mexico State . . . no big impression.
Fresno . .. lots of seats. Pressbox is, again, just a box.
I'll tell you about San Jose later if I make that trip this year.
Nevada, nice skybox/pressbox, but the rest is a dump.
The Joe? No endzone facility, but Lord willing . . . and if the creek don't rise, we'll have a highly functional facility sooner than later.

USU finally figured out the value of Merlin Olsen. They've had a nameplate for retiring his number up on the Pressbox wall exterior. All of a sudden, they decide this year to tout it by putting it on the field. Very original.
On the flip side, we have no notice inside the Joe on TB, Fred Dean or any other Tech luminary.

I've been to San Jose, and THAT is an AWFUL stadium!! It is in pitiful condition and small....really more appropriate for high school!
And their athletics reflect that neglect.
Maybe with the new end zone facility we could do a Tech ring of honor type thing sort of like the Cowboys (threw up in my mouth a bit saying that).
