Anywho. My first game was a Rangers game when I was 5. Nolan Ryan threw 10 innings of 1 hit ball. Threw something like 160 pitches. Rangers beat the White Sox 1-0 in 13 innings. Ever since then, the Rangers had a special place in my heart. Wasn't a huge fan, but always wanted them to do well. And here we are. Here's hoping they finish it out!
anybody going to a WS game? I will be in section 44, row 1, seats 9 & 10 with my dad for game 3. Go Rangers!
You lucky rascal!! I would give anything to be there. I have been a huge Rangers fan since 1974 when I moved to DFW. I was there at the first playoff games ever in Arlington in 1996, again in 1997 and 1999. I have seen so much bad baseball over the years. I, too, saw Nolan pitch a one hitter (no hitter until the eighth inning).
My 27 year old son who grew up going to Arlington Stadium and The Ballpark in Arlington, aka Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, called me right after the game last night to say it was the happiest day of his life! That's what many long suffering Rangers fans felt seeing A. Roid take strike three for the last out!!

Gotta love this. I like the Rangers chances in the World Series. They were flat out better than the Yanks (better line up and better starting pitching). I know the Giants have a killer starting staff and scratch out runs, but they also ran into a Phillies team struggling to get runs on the board. The Rangers have not had that problem. Gonna have Cliff Lee fresh for 2 start (work in a 3rd game if needed). This is their time, make it happen.

Man! The breaks sure aren't going Rangers way. No way Kinsler's doesn't go out, but it didn't. Lots of other weird and unlucky stuff happening.
Gotta keep the faith! 1 win is what we need sat.
I think the Rangers bounce back and win 2 of 3 in Texas to send it back to San Fran.

Well it was fun up until the world series. Texas batted .190 against great pitching.
Lee made a bad call last night in the 7th.
