    Saints vs Carolina

Saints sucking bad with TO's again! They're moving the ball very well and then bingo...fumble. Sloppy ball with 6 dropped passes and Brees not on the mark either! Injuries catching up to us as well (safety, RB positions are really hurting). And I don't like Peyton's play calling today.

It's the Madden Curse. We need to consult a JuJu woman to remove it. Nothing will work right until then.

We had better figure some stuff out quick or we will have trouble when we hit the AFC north and the rest of our division games.

Isn't that the truth. What's really showing also is how much Reggie means to this team as the other defenses have to game plan in a major way for him. I'll take the ugly win as we should have been able to say last week as well. Love the move at kicker BTW.

That was a pretty ugly win, and you are exactly right about the turnovers.

On the other hand, we had no Reggie, no Pierre Thomas, no Darren Sharper, and no Roman Harper, who usually helps out with run support and that's where Carolina is tough. Plus, Brees has a sore knee. All of those injuries and we still won. That's definitely a plus.

    We really miss Sharper.

Yeah, the injuries have really hurt. There is no replacing Reggie. Other teams would double, or even triple cover him, and that freed up the other guys to be in man coverage, in some cases with a safety trying to cover one of our WRs. That's why Brees and Company lit teams up. The loss of Pierre Thomas really hurt today. We don't have a capable back-up like we had with Mike Bell last year. That Ivory kid may turn out to be okay, but he's a fumbler, and I suspect Payton is planning to trade him ASAP!

Darren Sharpner is the reason we won the Super Bowl last year. Say what! What you talking about D80? He's only one player, and a DB at that. Brees is the reason, or Reggie, or it was a team effort....yeah, true. But if you go back and watch the replay of several key games last year, it was several plays by Sharpner that won those games, and made the difference of the Saints hosting the NFC championship game, instead of the Vikings. The homefield was enough to get us past the Vikes....

Defense wins Championships! and Sharpner was the key ingredient last year.

Mike Bell is in the game for the Eagles right now.

Wish he was still a Saint.

Haha, very true. An ugly win is better than a pretty loss.

Not this week or the next or the next. Not happening. The kid's got game, is a head banger (reminds me a tad of Marion Barber) and he will be taught how to protect the ball.

I hope so, if he's staying.

YEP, the old Saints would have lost that game by three rather than win it by three. I'll take about 16 more wins just like that and every Saint fan on this board will be saying THREE DAT!!
