Renu Khator, the UofH president tweeted from the CUSA meetings on Monday that the conferences are still going to be shifting! I do hope we have our guys on top of this!

Speculation on other boards and blogs is that the Big East is talking to ECU and UCF, along with TCU & Villanova.

I think the significants of this tweet is that this is a university president and also that she was attending CUSA meetings when she felt compelled to tweet it. Surely there is talk going on with those presidents. I am not even sure where these were being held or for how long, but I would hope that we had someone close or monitoring them.

Pushing Marshall to the MAC...unless CUSA offers Temple. Temple and Tech could be the additions. I do wonder though if the Texas and gulf coast schools would push for the replacements to be in a tighter geographic footprint. With TCU gone, CUSA could try and grab some MWC teams.

I can see UTEP wanting to leave CUSA, though.

I strongly suspect that within nine months, they will be in the Big East. Not sure how (if at all) that would affect our chances at CUSA.
