I know they've been saying Thornton's "lack of a commitment to defense is keeping him on the bench" but lately the Hornets have struggled on the offensive end. Thornton gets significant playing time in the last two games, scores 19 in both, and Hornets win both. Cooincidence maybe, but Thornton's offense is good enough to overcome his subpar defense. Without offense, defense doesn't win. Hornets need a scorer to take the pressure off Paul and West. Thornton is that guy.
