I know they've been saying Thornton's "lack of a commitment to defense is keeping him on the bench" but lately the Hornets have struggled on the offensive end. Thornton gets significant playing time in the last two games, scores 19 in both, and Hornets win both. Cooincidence maybe, but Thornton's offense is good enough to overcome his subpar defense. Without offense, defense doesn't win. Hornets need a scorer to take the pressure off Paul and West. Thornton is that guy.

Hornets are back on track to reach the playoffs. Now 25-16, 6th best record in the Western Conference. The changes to the roster have worked. West and Okafur are playing like they did in the opening weeks. West is scoring big, and just as importantly, West and Okafur are getting assists with each other. Inside passing between bigs is so important in the half court offense. And of course, Chris Paul is being Chris Paul. He is so clutch!

    Go Hornets !

4 straight wins and playing pretty solid. West is definitely playing like an all star and Okafur is probably playing his best basketball since college. I still think Thornton offers more than the other 2 guards but I'm not the coach. No need to comment on CP3.

No kidding. The Hornets' future in New Orleans isn't looking bright, and if Paul leaves, an already below avg attendance will drop off and the Hornets will be gone yesterday. Definitely wouldn't hurt to make a run this season. I was kind of hoping we could find a way to pull off a trade to bring in Carmelo. He and Paul together would equal annual contender.

I heard that the Hornets are the only playoff team who has not been on national TV this year.. CP3 won't want to play where he gets no coverage, but then again he is a starter for the all star team.

Hornets just got screwed royally. Thornton's lay-in with about 5 seconds remaining was blocked by Grant Hill after the ball had hit the backboard and the refs never blew a whistle. Bad missed call. Would've tied the game and most likely forced overtime. Hornets were down by double digits most of the 4th qtr and were down 8 with about 30 seconds left. Gotta love that this team plays til the end and never gives up. They are definitely scrappy enough to surprise some teams and make a run in the playoffs.

Cox Communications and Charter Communications are guilty of killing interest in the Hornets. Charter serves the North Shore area where over 250,000 live. Those 250,00 have the most money to go to the games, but we can't watch the Hornets exclusively on CST among many of the other state's sports. For me, it is out of sight, out of mind and never think about going to the games.

Supposedly these two parties reached an agreement at the end of last year. However, I have Charter and still can't receive this station. Maybe it cost extra $ to get it? I guess I need to call and find out.
