Help with Netflix

Have not signed in to Netflix for a week or so and then yesterday I tried to sign in and cannot watch instantly because silverlight is required. Well my computer has silverlight (Interner Explorer 64 bit) and for some reason it will not work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled silverlight and then it says that my computer is not compatible for this download. I do not know what else to do other than take my laptop to the computer store and that will cost $! Can anyone please help with suggestions?! Thanks!

This. I only use IE at work for websites that don't allow other browsers. Use Firefox or Chrome.
