Everyone should read Joe Farah's account of the WikiLeaks scandal on www.wnd.com. You'll never hear this kind of reporting in the "mainstrean media," that's for sure! The name of the article is "Nobody asked, nobody told." He mentions the Der Spiegel article previously quoted, and mentions others.

Not to mention Carter, Reagan, Bush the Elder, and Slick Willie. But reading the EO doesn't reveal why repealing it would have prevent Wikileaks from disclosing the cables. Perhaps you would like to explain the relationship between the EO and the current situation?

Well, at least imprisoned for a long period. Frankly, the cables didn't disclose much except the personal opinions of various diplomats regarding various governments and personalities. Probably disclosing any country's dipolmatic cables would show similar comments and opinions.

Better ask mildawg since he reads all of the diplomatic cables from other countries.
