Watched the streaming video and both teams came out sluggish and flat in the first half and it is was very clear why San Jose St is now 0 and 14. They unfortunately have 8 players that do not play very well but they gave a good effort but there is not a D-I player on the team -- they may not win a game in conference play.
Techsters overcame the tendency to play down to the level of a lesser opponent in the second half by playing aggressive in you face defense which forced turnovers and created the opportunity to really push the ball and change the momentum and this is where the ladies seem most comfortable and play their best ball.
Good scheduling on the coaches part -- this first game of conference play was a breeze and allowed Johnson and TK who have been playing insane minutes and others a well deserved rest after a very challenging pre conference schedule
