That is correct. Nevada is a different kind of team, if they are like last year. They were big and like a slower game. They can present problems for us in style. If we play OUR style, though, they will be in trouble.Originally Posted by dawg80

We cannot overlook USU. In order to sweep the WAC, we have got to play every single game with intensity. Nevada game should be a big one, if we can take care of things Thursday night! I went to live stats on the Fresno Site last night a few times. NMSU was within striking distance several times, but Fresno took off with about 10 minutes left in the game.
I absolutely expect (demand!) that the Techsters go 8-0 in the TAC. No excuses.
Road games at Nevada and maybe one other, depending who really emerges from the pack as being a decent squad (USU? Idaho? Boazy?), will be tough, as was at Fresno, but I expect Tech to have a true, legit shot at 16-0. If we lose a road game BECAUSE the other team shoots lights out and plays over their heads....well, that happens. But I cannot accept a loss because we gave it away. That irks me.
Focus, focus, focus....every posession matters.

I totally agree. Once we got that Fresno away game out of the way, I expect great things. There may be a slip up, but I hope we grew up Thursday night and can get a clean sweep like the old days. Fresno will be tough, even at the TAC. Nevada at Nevada is always a match up problem. We have to give it all every single game.
The areas that need work for consistency are:
Turnovers
Free Throws
and
more accuracy from the outside.
All of those things can be fixed, except for MAYBE the accurate outside shooting, but even that is a mental thing. We have the shooters.

I am a little surprised about Boise and Hawaii.
Fresno will be 5-1 by the time they come to the TAC.
