btw congrats on the WAC title.

So...we are most likely looking at Nevada in the semis. Whitney Jones has got to play a gem of a defensive game on that Tawny gal...and stay out of foul trouble while doing it.
Questions for you bracketology gurus:
1) if we lose in the semis....finish 23-7....will we still reach the Dance?
2) will our performance in the WAC tourney really affect our Dance chances (see #1) or our seeding in any real measurable way? (i.e. will winning the tourney vault us up several seeding spots, or not?)
3) if Tech wins the auto-bid, does Fresno have a shot an at-large bid?
It "appears" that that theory of sweeping 3 holds true. But, I wonder what the actual stats are across all sports.
Perhaps it's "law of averages" IF the two teams are otherwise close. I mean, if one team beats the other handily twice, chances are, they will beat 'em again. That is not the case in this situation. But yeah, I'll take a Techster win in OT again. Works for me.
FS was the either the first team to ever do it or just in WAC play (dont remember which one exactly) to do it too Tech A few years ago.
It will be tough to beat them. Aside from Jones having to have a great night, Brietta has to fill TK's shoes. She has done that, so far - especially against Boise.
As for making the NCAA's, winning the WAC might not affect our seeding too much. If we lose in the semi's, we are sitting on top of the bubble hoping and praying to get in. If we lose in the finals, I THINK we will still get in - but very much bubble. The only sure bet is to win the WAC tournament now. Going to be tough, but we CAN do it. We tend to play to our competition.
There is no guarantee that we will play Nevada or Fresno (although someone would have to really pull up a big upset on Fresno for them not to reach the finals). Stranger things have happened, though. Spoon will have us ready!
