Didn't mean to imply you didn't know how to read around it, but I just thought I sensed you thought it had a higher journalistic standard which imo it doesn't. Always enjoy reading your views and imput. Have a good one!

Outside of liberal circles the Times is a laughingstock ..... not unlike community organizers. Have to throw in a litotes every now and then so 003 will get it bass-ackwards.
Nope. He wasn't crazy.

Ever notice how facts are not nearly as important to some people as they should be? If this guy was a member of a conservative fringe at least there could be some sort of actual debate. Lets not let the fact that issues had nothing to do with his actions slow some people down when it comes to laying blame...
I really am surprised how some of our own BB&B libs were so quick to show their arse as well on this one. It was so cut and dry! They obviously listen and read way too much of the loony left blogs out there.
The latest:
Yes, even the liberal loon New York Slime is now highlighting/writing that this guy was a left wing, nut job, Bush hater, paranoid pot smoker, “Mein Kampf” and “The Communist Manifesto” lover, anti-God satan worshiper. Of course the NYT knows they are losing street cred and viewership over their liberal stances so maybe this is a "do over" and somewhat "save face". You libs should write your congressmen and senators stating how appalled you are at their jumping on the conservative talk radio, Rush, Palin, tea partier, did it bandwagon. That lying scam was all for political gain at the expense of other American's misfortune. And you BB&Ber's that did the same should be ashamed and take a deep breath or break from politics all together. You know who you are.

The bias, although subtle, still manages to shine through in this article. The article twice characterizes Loughner's beliefs regarding the gold standard as being aligned with right wing extremists. Yet, the article fails to link 9/11 Truthers with left wing extremists.
I see your point. Blaming the tragic deaths of innocent people on people exercising freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution is definitely morally preferable to making the huge leap of calling a mass murderer "crazy". Swing and a miss. Your post shows that your political bias has become your ethical framework. That is a very unhealthy situation, and I hope logic and reason will eventually play more of a part in what you choose to believe... or at least publicly express.
