Putting up those kinds of numbers and still not getting any All American looks? I just don't get it. I mean she scored over thirty points against UGA. It looks like everything will always be tilted to the big programs now. It all started with Cheryl Ford not being a first team All American. She went on to dominate in the pros as we all knew she would.
With a down game, Adrienne scored 14 points to pass Tech's last All-American Tamicha Jackson into 9th place on Tech's all-time scoring list.

With 25 points at Utah State, Adrienne passed All-American Amanda Wilson into 8th place on the Louisiana Tech all-time scoring list. She also passed Sheila Ethridge to gain sole possession of 5th place for the most 20-point games in Lady Techster history. Adrienne also pulled down 16 boards against the Aggies.

Never thought I would see someone pass some of these past Lady Techsters. Adrienne has done an amazing job. She will pass Angela on the 20+ point games and Tori in scoring pretty easily in the next game.
I know and yet not a sniff of All American recognition. go figure anyone at our storied program would post those kinds of numbers and not be bigger on the national scene. And she has proven that she can put up those kinds of numbers against the best of the best.
It's a true shame!
Believe me, the WNBA scouts sure know about her. We have a HUGE connection to them. She will go high in the draft.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today that Louisiana Tech senior forward Adrienne Johnson has been added to the 2010-11 State Farm Wade Trophy Watch List. Johnson joins Iowa State's Kelsey Bolte as the duo are the final two additions to a prestigious list of 34 players, who are under consideration for the State Farm Wade Trophy - the Division I women's basketball equivalent of college football's Heisman Trophy. The State Farm Wade Trophy Committee will trim the Watch list to 12 finalists in mid-March.
