This is not a good move for Lafayette or Tech. Bottom line is after LSU, the state gov't lumps Lafayette, Tech and UNO into the same category. But, UNO is not in a good place. The state thinks they will be better served being with "like minded" schools (see Tech and Lafayette, as we are the ones mentioned.) The translation is UNO, will be able to get a bigger piece of the pie in the UL system, Tech and Lafayette do not need another school taking money from us.

Also, a legislator is trying to mandate that they return to D1 athletics.
