This is all predictable behavior for one with the type of mental illness Trump suffers from.
The government is already behind on what it originally agreed to pay the insurance companies. Obama lied about reimbursements after year one of Obamacare and never gave them all that was promised in the legislation. No attempt to catch up has been made. In turn the insurance companies have either opted out of the exchange or charged as much as the law allows.
But there are other subsidies in play. More than eight in ten individuals who buy Obamacare plans also get help paying their premiums directly from the federal government. When their premiums climb, so does the cost to the Treasury. - No truth to this at all.
It all adds up to a hefty bill for taxpayers. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that ending the cost-sharing payments would increase the budget deficit by $194 billion over the next decade as subsidy outlays jump. - Really? They think this crap will still be around for another 10 years?

You inspire me to be less sure of that every day, and I thank you for that. To think that such a thing could not happen here is a mistake. But to avoid it you have to recognize the patterns of tyrants and stop them before it is too late. None of them come into power openly promoting genocide even as they sometimes show hints as to their feelings regarding Others, and often use dogwhistles to appeal to the shadow.
