Global Warming is responsible for Mubarak's downfall.

On January 5, 2011, the crisis became official when the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization reported that food prices worldwide had risen to their highest levels ever. It said the situation was likely to get worse in the coming decades, as climate change continues. “We are entering a danger territory,” an FAO senior economist, Abdolreza Abbassian, told reporters.

More on Egyptian food price inflation

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/baby...aches-117.html

Traders, market vendors and shoppers alike are exasperated over soaring food prices, which have pushed Egypt's overall inflation rate to 11.7% while putting pressure on the ruling National Democratic Party as it heads into parliamentary elections next month.
"Everything is continuously going up. Cheese, milk and eggs rose between 8% and 10%; cooking oil and sugar, 8%; and fruits, 10% and 11%. And these are wholesale prices lower than what regular consumers have to pay," Hamed Saad, the owner of a small grocery store, told The Times.
Inflation figures for September were announced by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics on Sunday, which cited a near 21.3% hike in overall food prices as the main cause behind the rise. Vegetable and fruit prices experienced the highest increases as the price of tomatoes, an essential ingredient in Egyptian cuisine, rose a stunning 51%.

    Egyptian official: WH demands contradictory...

WASHINGTON – An Egyptian official says his government believes that WhiteHouse demands for President Hosni Mubarak to step down immediately are in "clear contradiction" with Obama administration calls for an orderly transition to a new government.
The official, speaking for his government from a location outside Egypt, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Mubarak's decision not to seek re-election in September was not a result of WhiteHouse .
The official spoke on condition of anonymity, saying his government would not allow him to associate his name with the statement.
The official said in the statement: "There is a clear contradiction between an orderly process of transition and the insistence that this process be rushed."

Obama did not lose Egypt. You cant lose something you never had. Egypt is a sovereign nation. The U.S. needs to worry about it's on government and not meddle in something that Egypt can perfectly take care of itself.

Re: Paper: Obama, the US president who lost Egypt...

Obama is not the President of Egypt or anything else in Egypt other than an outsider. He can't "turn his back on Israel". He can not be blamed for the "loss" of Egypt no more than Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, and Bush II. Heck, there is nothing saying Egypt is an actual "loss" yet anyway.

And Russian news? Really? Do you just Google for news articles that are slant to your liking? Did you type "Muslim brotherhood hates Israel" and just post the first article that came up that has anything similar to that?

Also, find something other than Debka. Absolutely none of the links you have posted over the years have bared out true in any sense. They throw darts and hope it sticks.

Re: Paper: Obama, the US president who lost Egypt...

By helping kick out the more "peace loving toward Israel" leader of Egypt, just like Carter did with Iran and the Shah when he turned his back, Obama is opening the door to terrorist anti-Israel and anti American leadership. Obama, America and Israel will suffer. We are to bless Israel and therefore be blessed as we have been for 235 years and especially after 1948 until today.

Genesis 12:1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. 2 "I will make you into a great nation (Israel) and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

Zechariah 12 1 This is the word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him, declares: 2 "I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.

MUBARAK: CHAOS IF I QUIT NOW

    NBC, msnbc.com and news services
    updated 2 hours 39 minutes ago 2011-02-03T20:15:21

CAIRO — Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak says he is fed up with with being president and would like to leave his office now but cannot for fear of chaos, ABC News reported Thursday.
Mubarak, in an interview with Christiane Amanpour at his heavily guarded presidential palace after a more than a week of protests, said he was troubled by violence at Cairo's Tahrir Square in the past three days but insisted the government was not responsible for it.
Vote: How do you feel about the events unfolding in Egypt? "I was very unhappy about yesterday; I do not want to see Egyptians fighting each other," Mubarak told Amanpour, according to the ABC report.
He blamed the banned Muslim Brotherhood political party for the violence.
"I don't care what people say about me," Mubarak was quoted as saying. "Right now I care about my country, I care about Egypt."
He reiterated statements he made in his Monday night speech to his nation that he never intended for his son, Gamal, to succeed him and he would not leave Egypt.
Asked about U.S. President Barack Obama's counsel for him to leave office swiftly, Mubarak said he told him, "You don't understand the Egyptian culture and what would happen if I step down now."
