Please explain what facility you are talking about and why it is empty. Is there a good reason, or not? If you are going to bring these kind of issues up in our board conversations, you need to at least explain yourself.
The Monster Moto building that they vacated without recourse because we didn’t require them to pay a long term lease. Ronnie made a deal and put the city on the hook for the lease payments if Monster Moto moved out. Right now, the city pays something like $20-$30,000 a month to the Graham’s to lease an empty building.
Good thing Tech baseball didn't need hotel rooms this week to host a superregional, if it happened.
One of the hotelkeepers said they could possibly handle rooms for umpires. They are booked solid up to August with Sports Complex events coming to town.
