Lady Legends of March NCAA All-Star Game and Youth Clinic

The countdown to the 2011 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Championship has begun, and with the First/Second Rounds coming to the CenturyTel Center on March 20 and 22, Shreveport-Bossier will get to experience “March Madness” firsthand. A special event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Bossier Parish Community College called the “Lady Legends of March NCAA All-Star Game”.

The day begins at 10 a.m. with a FREE Youth Basketball Clinic available to ages 6 and up. The All-Star Game will begin at 11 a.m. The “Lady Legends of March NCAA All-Star Game” will feature local standout women’s basketball players who played high school basketball in the Shreveport-Bossier area and went on to play at the collegiate level. The format for the game is still being finalized, but most likely will feature two 15-minute periods.

Vouchers will be available for the First/Second Rounds March 20 and 22 for those who sign up for the Youth Basketball Clinic. Adults can redeem the vouchers at the CenturyTel Center Box Office located on the ground level on the north side of the arena Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tickets for the 2011 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Championship First/Second Rounds are also on sale at the CenturyTel Center Box Office, all area Ticketmaster outlets, and online at www.ticketmaster.com. All-session tickets range from $13 to $38 plus any additional fees for students and adults.

The entire 64-team bracket will be unveiled at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 14 on ESPN as Shreveport-Bossier will find out what four teams it will host at the CenturyTel Center March 20 and 22.
