Salary Range: $60,742.00 - $112,546.00 /year

Performs a wide range of assignments of considerable difficulty and complexity in forecasting techniques development or climatology, develop and maintain National Hurricane Center's (NHC) web server-it's content and services. Major duties include management of web server and its content and services. Management of web enhancements, web security and content. Additionally, one or more of the following: develop, support, and improve local web site applications for data flow from forecast desks to the server. Perform diagnostic studies, provide guidance to forecasters on use of web site applications. Assist with hardware and software configuration and upgrades. Develop, enhance, and support software applications, respond to queries and works closely with the Public Relations Officer. Develops area-wide warning and preparedness programs and severe weather public awareness programs. Oversees transfer of technology from research to operational environments.
