Dawg80, which team do you have in mind?
Give me the jaguars...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Southern would pull in a big crowd.
We should give Grambling in S'Port another chance.
Tulane as the 1st in an evergreen series of a home/home contract!
I agree with Tulane, nothing to gain with list except a little money
Tulane already has their 4 non-conference games scheduled for 2012: at LSU, at Ole Miss, at Syracuse, and vs. Rutgers.
Notre Dame's schedule is full with 12 games, and the Irish will host Navy on that date.
Now which team do you want to play?
I say Northwestern State.
A large crowd would show up for the season opener against an old rival, so the season starts on the right foot. Plus, the decision to play Northwestern would probably irritate ULM. I wouldn't mind playing NSU once every 2-3 years as part of the annual Louisiana FCS matchup in Ruston (Nicholls, Southeastern Louisiana, etc.)
Kansas State has an open date on 9/1/2012.

And Kansas has scheduled lowly South Dakota St (a Division II school?) on that same 9/1/2012 date. Maybe we could buy S Dakota St out and play Kansas.
Army has an open date on 9/1/2012 also. But they already have 12 games scheduled in 2012, and I'm not sure if they are allowed to schedule 13 games or not.
