Did LSU pull a Louisiana Tech???

Just viewed the 2011 Womens NIT schedule and noticed theres no LSU !!!! Considering there are 5 SEC schools in the tourney with worse records than LSU it makes one wonder did they get the royal snubb or did they pull a Louisiana Tech and say "Thanks, but we're too good for your tourney." ??? Makes ya wonder.......

Actually, I kind of do care about this. We need to take back over our spot in Louisiana and are slowly doing that. lsu sitting at home can help our recruiting. The Lady Techsters ruled this state for so long and lsu passed us for a few years. Now, it is time that we pass them. Let's win this game against Rutgers and show that we are on the rise and they are on the downslide.

This is particularly interesting because after Tech turned down the WNIT bid, the WAC enacted a bylaw that requires WAC teams to accept WNIT bids.

I'm sure they felt snubbed because they thought they had a better resume than Dayton, Texas, and especially MTSU. For that reason, I think they were trying to make a statement to the NCAA selection committee. I don't think it was because their program was too proud for the WNIT.

Interesting thought: Would they have declined if Tech didn't decline in 2007?
