Dogs lost 5-2. I have never seen so little interest in this baseball board.

A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
Derek Hamilton hit a one-out RBI single to left field in the fifth inning to give 25th-ranked Rice the go-ahead run and the Owls added two more runs in the inning to knock off Louisiana Tech, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at Reckling Park.

Caring won't change the fact that we're not competitive again. Just another death by neglect that DR can notch on his belt.
I'd like to know if Rice will return this series to Ruston next year. Anybody know?
Offense unable to do much against top teams on schedule. Need to learn to not depend on long ball so much, better job moving runners, etc. with new bats in NCAA. Still can get a few, not as many, at home in small park, but can't play all games at home. Pitching, while not deep in quality for weekend series, is not horrible. Our offense from past years has gone south.
Too many two out walks in Game 2 yesterday... Tech isn't far removed from an average Rice team as they have played them close in the first two games of the series. A mistake here and there by us and Rice did not fail in maximizing on our mistakes. After we gave up three runs in the middle of the game, it looked like Tech was 3 up and 3 down almost every inning after that point.
Rice is... but they look good one day and then get beat bad by programs that are lesser known than Tech... Not to take anything away from Rice but they are not having a typical "Rice baseball" season this year
