How Would You Change the Baseball Program?

I'm currently watching Florida beat LSU (Geaux Gators!) and it got me wondering what we could do to bring more interest and excitement to our baseball program. I would love to see us have the type of crowds that they have in Baton Rouge or Oxford or Starkvegas for baseball. I would just like to hear some of y'all's ideas on how we could improve other than winning.

That's the only thing that will do it. We have a GREAT set up and atmosphere for baseball. Now all we need is consistent winning to get the crowds.

Have a univeristy that actually supports the baseball program. That's a good start.

I think that a substantial benefit would be to host or to apply to host the 5A/4A/3A, (or whatever they can get) state championships in baseball. I think that the word needs to get out of more than just north Louisiana that Tech has nice facilities and offering a championship tournament to the best of Louisiana's baseball talent would be a way to put the campus and the program on their minds and the minds of the parents.

Stop playing in Texas. Hogdawg is right, that's where all the talent is.

    AMEN!!!!

Oh... and move Stefan to the bullpen. I don't know if it's the arm, or the mind, but he looks good for a couple innings and then everything falls apart as he gets late into his appearances.

COACH SIM.... HE'S NOT READY TO BE A STARTER YET!!!!

Seems like every year our pitchers end up hurt by the time the season rolls around. I don't watch pre-season workouts but it makes one wonder if they're throwing too much.

Most injuries occur during the offseason, i.e. summer ball. We have to deal with them.

Well, whatever we're doing it's not working. I know that if I had to throw all summer and during fall/winter workouts my arm's going to feel like a wet noodle too. Something's got to give.
