Ok...I was wrong. However, both of those guys stepped into pretty good situations at VCU. It's a little different here. We have to REBUILD, which i think would be tough with a coach with no prior head coaching experience. JMO

I'm not impressed by Ole Miss. With their proximity to Jackson and Memphis, they should be VERY GOOD every year. Quite frankly, they just aren't..

Yup, that's exactly what I'm doing. Until someone names a current/former head coach that I think would be a better fit, I will continue to stick with McDowell, dude!

No problem. Just get the feeling if we could get Coach K from Duke or Phil Jackson from the Lakers you still wouldn't like them because they aren't McDowell.

White will continue to be on a lot of people's short list because of 1) his resume as a proven assistant coach and recruiter, and 2) because of who his dad is! The young man is very well connected throughout the country because of his dad.

You expect him to air out his sources, choose to believe or not believe him it's your prerogative.

I love coaching searches. Everyone has their own opinion of who should be hired. Like pgdawg, if it's not McDowell he'll be pissed and come back and say Tech should have hired McDowell even if the next coach is successful. If they hire McDowell he'll come around gloating if McDowell's successful and disappear if McDowell's unsuccessful.

OR, he'll just disappear like he has been until now.
