    Longbtham Breaks Record

    Lady Techster tennis player (03) Lauren Longbotham Meisner broke the SMU record for wins by a Women's Tennis coach with a 6-1 victory over #66 UC-Santa Barbara on Saturday. The victory gives Longbotham Meisner a 95-27 (.779) record in just her fifth season as head coach of the Mustangs. Longbotham Meisner was a four year starter and team captain at Tech.

    Lauren led her team to wins over #31 Texas A&M and #12 Florida in the NCAA Regional Tennis Championships @ A&M this weekend to advance to the Sweet 16. This is the first trip for SMU since 1987.

    Congrats to her!!! Also, anoter Tech tennis product that is doing great is Terrance DeJonh, just 30 miles east of Ruston. He has built a very strong tennis that will consistently fight for conference championships. Watch for him doing great stuff the next few year. He was an assistant coach at Tech and letting him go was a big mistake, that set the tennis team down several years.
