I call BS on using the burning of a book to kill people. Do I agree with burning the book? No. That's a dumbass and useless thing to do. But to kill anybody over a burned book? BS. It's just an excuse to do what they already want to do and in spades. BS.

Actually no. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. I totally agree with Dawgmatic about the necessity of burning the book, but it does not in any way absolve those who rioted. Just because some dummy burned your holy book halfway across the world does not give one carte blanche to do whatever they want to people who had no connection with the incident at all.

Another example of political correctness run amock. There are a lot of dead people because of evil, crazy Muslims. If Christians responded in this manner every time that Christianity or the Bible was disrespected, I highly doubt that you would place blame on the enciting party.

Burning the thing was stupid, because they knew exactly what the result would be. That in no way excuses the reaction though. I only hope that those clerics who incited the mob are brought to justice. Though I doubt that happens.

Hate to knock you off that high horse there MikeDog, but actually, Christians have behaved like this in the past. Wasn't to long ago you could get burned at the stake or hung for desecrating the Bible in such a manner. The problem is my fellow BBBers is "Lack Of Respect" for other people's beliefs. It shouldn't matter if your Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc. that lack of respect among each other totally makes a sham of what this country is founded upon. Unfortunately, its egocentric beliefs on both sides that are making a mess out of things...by using terms like Crazy Muslims you just justify their complaints..that all christian Americans are racist assholes....hate to think what your opinions are on some of the other major religions of the world.

I'm quite comfortable calling these Muslims "crazy" for killing others over a book burning half way around the world. I'm also quite comfortable for calling these Muslims evil. That doesn't mean all Muslims are crazy or evil, but the ones that would kill others over a book burning clearly deserve these negative labels.

We're talking about a religion and system of laws over there that will stone someone for converting to Christianity, being a homosexual, or for being raped without five witnesses. Now they behead and murder innocent people for something someone (granted, a very stupid person...but being stupid is not a crime) has done in another country!

Yes, let's bend over backward to please these folks. Gosh, we've lost already. Lets just change our laws to mimic their laws lest we insult them, because WE are obviously the evil ones here!

100% agreement. And on top of that the Muslim's that are afraid and don't speak out against their radical Islamic brothers are themselves evil to the core as well!
