According to wacsports.com, '07 and '09. But we did not make it out of the WAC tournament and did not have overall records worthy of making a regional. Not sure about prior to the years listed there.

Yeah we had folks upset last year because we didn't throw our ace(s) against lsuS. I hate to lose to NSU, but you don't burn your best pitchers for that win.

How many batters called out looking last night? THAT is a problem that must be fixed.

Apparently, NSU did not throw their ace against us either. He's not one of their weekend starters. He was 1-3 coming into this game with a 5.09 (I think) ERA. They were 9-19. I guess we got to be their 10th.

Sim said he was thier #2 guy early in the season, but had some problems. Looks like he might have earned his #2 spot back.

7 strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work and he didn't get a win or a save. Although some of our players may have disagreed with the home plate umpire on his strike calls after they were caught looking, they looked like strikes from where we were sitting. If he can continue to throw like that, I expect he will get drafted.

There was one inning were all 3 batters went down looking.

Williams was a curve on the outside. Too close to take, but not an obvious strike.

JFord and Ewing got caught looking at pitches right down the pipe, whether Sim disagreed or not. Those are the pitches that every other team puts into play against us. We stare at them and say "nice pitch".

The guy who struck out 7, Melotakis, was one of our weekend guys earlier this season but struggled a bit. He is now a reliever and probably won't get back in the rotation unless one of our current guys struggles.

The guy we started, Roark, is a midweek guy all the way.
