Established Football Subdivision Team. In the geographic footprint. Very suspicious, us or New Mexico St.? New Mexico St. in the SunBelt footprint?
Gotta be us.
UAB? Tulane?
It says they are interested in teams...
Doesn't sound like anything to me.
Wrong Waters says a belch team will be knocking on the door of a BCS bowl...
yeah!
Hey, pizza is here!
I'm not insecure. I'm just using the process of elimination.
If the Sun Belt were to pick teams in the FBS Division and within the current conference footprint, you can eliminate every school in the BCS, the MAC, Mountain West Conference, the independent schools, and everyone currently in the Sun Belt. That leaves Conference USA and the WAC.
Marshall, East Carolina, UTEP (CUSA), Utah State, Idaho, New Mexico State, & San Jose State (WAC) are outside the Sun Belt footprint. Tulsa, Rice, SMU, Houston, Central Florida, Memphis, and Southern Miss would never make the jump to the Sun Belt. That leaves Louisiana Tech from the WAC and UAB & Tulane from CUSA as the only possibilities that meet the criteria from the article.
Southeastern from Hammond? If we're throwing out guesses, that's mine...
FWIW....Post by CajunT on the Belt board.
I know that Louisiana Tech has been in touch with UNT, ASU, UL, and several other programs to measure the water temperature about a possible return. The papers spin Bensons talking points in Texas and other WAC cities, but I've been told the talks have been both ways despite Tech fans denial
Sounds like Tulane to me. Didn't they just schedule a home & home with the juco ??
