How is it better for the game? More interest? More interest = more money, but who gets the money? Were the networks considering replacing PGA golf with more NBA games?
I enjoy good golf or a good comeback story, but the whole "good for the game" thing is just silly.
I can't and don't really care to put my finger on it, but if Tiger isn't playing or playing well, I'm not watching golf. Call me a bandwagon golf fan, but it's just how it is, and I'm not big enough a fan to wonder why.
