2 1/2 years later the rate is still higher than it was when Bush left office, thanks to Obama's failed policies.

Bush wasn't a good President and is responsible for a great many problems but the Housing Crisis did fuel an enormous part of the recession. There is really no way round that. Democrats decided they wanted to make home ownership a right rather than a privilage. And yes, there were Republicans who allowed it to happen who also share much of the guilt.

You're blaming anyone and everyone BUT Obama for the current troubles, namely the newly elected, republican-controlled House.... so, seems to me that it would be fair to blame the democrap-controlled House and Senate that were in control during Bush's last two years in office. Funny that the leftards fail to acknowledge that the demonrats controlled both houses of Congress for the past 4 years and the White House for the past 2... the republicans have been in charge of only the House for the past 4 months, yet according to lildildo, the "teapublicans" are to blame for everything that is happening.

When confronted with a question about the poor economy under B. Hussein, you and the other libs quickly point out that Obama hasn't been in office long enough to resolve the trouble. Seems as though 2 years isn't enough time for Hussein Hopenchange to have any effect... yet according to you, the republicans--who are in charge of one half of one branch of our government--have ruined us in 4 months. The housing bubble was entirely set in motion by Democrats Barney Frank and Chris Dodd declaring that everyone had a "right" to own a home. Their pressure on Fannie and Freddie is the direct cause of the disaster and both should be serving time rather than serving another "term." Bush emphasized that he wanted to use taxpayer dollars to assist with the down payment for otherwise "qualified buyers." The democrats, in one-up-man-ship, extended that idea to "anyone who desired to buy."

BTW, the highest unemployment during 8 years of the Bush administration was 7.3% during the last month of his presidency. The lowest unemployment rate under Osama has been 7.8%. It has been as high as 10.1%, and is currently at 8.8% after adding 2.5 TRILLION to the national debt.
