What will be different from the USM team that came to Ruston? New DC, right? Offense figures to be about the same?
If I remember right, our D looked pretty decent against Tech last season and our O looked like crap. The rest of the season was exact opposite. We had to score 40-50 pts to stay in most games. We found our running back mid-way thru the season (Hardy - big/powerful) ....return 4 yr starter at QB, most of the O line. Lose a couple good starters on the D line. Not sure how this new scheme on defense will pan out, but it can't be much worse than the past 3 seasons. If you could throw the ball last year, we couldn't stop you. Honestly, most fans are expecting more of the same.Originally Posted by CChandler
That is exactly how we were.
Last year was a defensive struggle between two teams with horrible defenses. I don't think that will happen again next year. We better be able to score some points.

That was a good read. I'd never heard of these folks (FSH) before now. They seem to do their homework.
I think it's a spin-off of Football Outsiders (which does similar stuff for the NFL).
